Job summary

ACEPP UK is seeking an experienced Field Construction Engineer (Piping) to support the Hinkley Point C project. You will oversee on-site piping installation, ensure adherence to safety and quality requirements, and coordinate with contractors and project teams to deliver works safely and to specification.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and proven on-site piping construction experience within regulated industries such as Nuclear.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Piping Field Engineer or similar on large-scale projects.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, or Heavy Industrial Construction.
• Ability to read piping isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Site-based construction experience on major infrastructure or nuclear projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee piping installation activities on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and site procedures.
• Review piping drawings, isometrics, installation work packs, method statements, and construction documentation.
• Ensure all piping works comply with quality requirements and UK nuclear regulations.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental standards across construction activities.
• Monitor progress, identify risks to schedule, and support recovery plans.
