Job summary

Altrad are seeking a technically capable Quality Inspector QC HVAC to support the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C project. The role is based on site at Hinkley Point C on a permanent basis within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

You will work with Building Engineers, SMEs and client representatives to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery of construction work packs. You will drive documentation, ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards and company procedures, and

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Construction, HVAC Engineering or related discipline.
• HNC in a relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience in a similar role.
• 10 years' experience in a site management role.
• IOSH Managing Safely preferred.
• CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Professional accreditation desirable.
• Experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects at management level.
• Experience in heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the Building Lead in day-to-day construction planning, engineering and progression of works within allocated buildings.
• Deliver discipline-specific Construction Work Pack scopes to support MEH construction activities.
• Define and maintain clear boundaries for allocated scopes of work.
• Liaise with SMEs, client counterparts and multidisciplinary teams to support delivery.
• Engage with constructability of works to facilitate sequencing and installation.
• Manage project change within allocated buildings and coordinate with Building Lead.
• Ensure documents remain compliant with latest Works Information and MEH documentation.
• Maintain documents and review at minimum every six months.
• Drive deliverables from conception through to A-Accepted status with high first-time acceptance.
• Prioritise and manage documentation to align with Level 4 plan and advance notice for works.
• Support continuous improvement programmes to improve processes and procedures.
• Report to Building Manager or nominated deputy.
• Manage and maintain Procon reporting data for allocated buildings.
• Provide positive HSE leadership and a strong HS&E culture throughout the project.
