Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (HV Cable Design) to join our Transmission & Distribution team in the UK. You will shape the backbone of energy infrastructure, designing, implementing, and maintaining high-voltage transmission systems for onshore and offshore projects.

Formación

• Essential: Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experienced transmission cable systems engineer.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex engineering problems.
• Willingness to engage with new challenges and work confidently on tasks from prior experience.
• Ability to demonstrate good written communication skills including report writing.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsabilidades

• HVAC/HVDC Cable System Design for Onshore and Offshore projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HV cables into substations, converter stations, and grid networks.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for transmission cable systems.
• Front End Engineering Design (FEED): deliver innovative cable systems integration solutions.
• Lead interface with civil and environmental teams to plan delivery per consenting requirements.
• Tender/Detail Design for transmission cable systems from concept to construction detail.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cable-related issues during installation and operation/maintenance.
• Stay updated on advancements in HV cable materials, insulation, and transmission technologies.
