Job summary

Linxon is seeking an Engineering Manager in Glasgow to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across EPC HV substation projects in Scotland. You will oversee tendering, project engineering, resource coordination, and engineering interfaces throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer specs, standards, and Linxon procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Extensive HV substation engineering experience in EPC environments.
Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Report to UK Engineering Manager and manage engineering activities for the team.
Ensure timely, high quality delivery of engineering designs for EPC substations.
Provide technical leadership across Primary, Secondary, and Civil/Structural disciplines.
Coordinate tendering through to As-Built, complying with project specs and Linxon standards.
Monitor project performance with PM, Procurement, Construction, and Planning teams.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and external partners on engineering activities.
Guide engineers in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
Define and manage resource plans and budgets for projects.
Set objectives, mentor staff, and develop disciplinary skills.
