Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical HV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for a 12-month contract on a Royston, Cambridgeshire project. The SAP will oversee HV/LV system operations, issue permits, and ensure safe switching and energisation in line with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has City & Guilds HV SAP accreditation, strong HV/LV expertise, and proven EPCM project experience, with the ability to guide site personnel and coordinate with engineers and contractors

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Accredited High Voltage Senior Authorised Persons Course (essential).
• Proven experience as SAP on HV/LV systems.
• Experience on EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for HV/LV systems.
• Control, issue and manage permits to work and switching operations.
• Ensure safe isolation and energisation of electrical systems.
• Review and approve switching schedules and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to site personnel.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices.
• Liaise with project teams, engineers and contractors.
