Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to lead HV work on UKPN projects across East Anglia and surrounding areas. You will manage HV switching, isolation and safety documentation, while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with clients and site teams.

The role requires SAP authorisation for 11kV/33kV/132kV, a strong HV background, and a full UK driving licence with travel to Stevenage and client sites. A competitive package and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV or 132kV on a UK DNO network.
• Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning or network maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, safety regulations and outage planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute HV switching schedules using PowerOn and other DNO tools.
• Isolate and earth high voltage equipment safely.
• Issue Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access.
• Develop and implement safety documentation and method statements.
• Attend client meetings and resolve operational issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project planning.
