Job summary

A leading construction company in Basingstoke is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to oversee construction and asset replacement projects on electrical distribution networks. The role demands a flexible approach, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to safety. Qualifications

• Hold or have held authorisations within a DNO within the last 12 months.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with underground cabling.
• Good knowledge of National Model Distribution Safety Rules.

Responsibilities

• Organise and execute HV switching and isolation.
• Prepare switching programs and ensure safety documentation.
• Commission and operate electrical plant within substations.

Skills

Proven track record as an SAP

Strong technical knowledge

Positive safety culture

Experience with overhead lines

Confident in carrying out SAP duties

Education

HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Possession of current Senior Authorised Person certificate
