Arup is seeking a highly experienced leader to drive technical delivery of transmission cable system designs. You will guide best practice across HVAC/HVDC, oversee design teams, and ensure compliance with IEC and IEEE standards for both AC and DC systems, overhead and underground.

This pivotal role includes mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, supporting tendering with insights, and shaping new technology initiatives to advance grid modernization.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Chartered Engineer status essential.
• Experience in high‑voltage transmission cable design (HV/EHV systems).
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering large‑scale projects.

Responsabilidades

• Define and uphold best-in-class practices for HVAC or HVDC cable design.
• Oversee full lifecycle of HV transmission cable systems (AC and DC, overhead and underground).
• Lead design teams, mentor juniors, and conduct rigorous technical reviews.
