Birmingham City University is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to enhance line management capabilities and support strategic goals for 2030. This role involves developing training resources and collaborating with academic stakeholders to improve team performance, offering a hybrid working model and generous benefits.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HR Business Partner to drive a project focused on upskilling line managers and providing them with the tools to effectively drive team performance. This role supports BCU's strategy for 2030 and beyond, contributing to key strategic goals: employability, NSS, equality of outcomes, and quality of teaching and practice.
The HR Business Partnering team plays a crucial role in supporting these goals, working closely with academic stakeholders. The role involves developing line management toolkits, 'how-to' guides, template letters, and updating HR policies to support performance management. The second phase includes developing and delivering updated training for line managers.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the HR Business Partnering team, working autonomously to ensure project delivery. We offer a generous pension, 40 days of annual leave including statutory holidays, family-friendly policies, and state-of-the-art campus facilities. Our hybrid working model combines on-site and remote work as appropriate.
Informal queries are welcome and should be directed to Annwyn Williams, Head of HR Business Partnering, at annwyn.williams@bcu.ac.uk. Interviews are scheduled for June 9, 2025, including an interview and a work-related exercise, with full details provided to shortlisted candidates.
