Job summary

Skanska UK PLC is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager for the Lower Thames Crossing project. You will lead the Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Quality strategy and drive improvement across all delivery phases, partnering with project leadership and supply chains to embed strong HSWQ outcomes.

You will coach and develop HSWQ resources, guide investigations, and act as the trusted advisor on health, safety, wellbeing and quality issues across this major infrastructure programme.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with a track record of leading leaders, including site to board level.
• Experience leading mega projects or major infrastructure delivery.
• Extensive HSWQ technical knowledge, strategy and assurance capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Quality strategy, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client expectations and Skanska standards.
• Support project leadership teams in managing HSWQ risks and opportunities across all phases of delivery.
• Lead assurance activity across the project, including audits, inspections and reviews, and drive timely close-out of actions and non-conformances.
• Support investigation of accidents, incidents, close calls and quality failures, ensuring lessons learned are identified and embedded.
• Lead, coach and develop project HSWQ resources, building capability and supporting continuous improvement.
• Act as the key advisor to project teams and supply chain partners on all matters relating to health, safety, wellbeing and quality.
