Job summary

Ferrovial Construction UK is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join the Slough project on an £80 million upgrade of Slough Sewage Treatment Works. You will lead the HSW function on the programme, ensuring compliance with legislation and driving best practice across teams.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will mentor junior staff, collaborate with procurement and cost estimation, and coordinate with the central HSQE & Sustainability Department to achieve strong

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in health, safety and wellbeing management within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of risk management and practical risk-based decision making.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with mentoring abilities.
• Ability to advise project teams and stakeholders on HSW matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and monitoring construction activities in line with HSW legislation and standards.
• Leading the HSW function on complex projects with a forward-looking approach.
• Mentoring junior members of the HSW team.
• Supporting procurement and cost estimation teams with HSW input.
• Communicating Ferrovial objectives and legislative changes to project teams.
• Collaborating with the central HSQE & Sustainability Department to drive positive outcomes.
• Supporting bidding and tendering activities where required.
