Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking a seasoned Health, Safety, Security and Wellbeing Manager for the Havant Thicket Reservoir Project. This senior role will drive HSSW standards on site-based and hybrid delivery, liaising with contractors, supply chains and stakeholders.

You will shape the HSSW framework and foster a culture of safety and wellbeing across the programme. The role requires extensive HSSW leadership on infrastructure projects, a strong grasp of UK CDM/HSG65, and a track record of contractor

Qualifications

• Senior HSSW/HSEQ/health and safety leadership experience.
• Experience delivering HSSW leadership on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with contractor assurance, performance management, auditing and governance.
• Thorough knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and HSG65.
• Experience developing and implementing occupational health and safety management systems.
• Strong understanding of risk management, incident investigation, assurance and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with principal contractors and complex supply chains.
• Experience in workforce wellbeing and fatigue management.
• Experience of security and resilience in major projects can be advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible HSSW leadership across the project.
• Develop and implement the project HSSW strategy, policies and management systems.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the OH&S Management System in line with HSG65.
• Establish and maintain a robust contractor assurance regime across principal contractors and the wider supply chain.
• Hold contractors to account through performance metrics, reviews and governance forums.
• Lead audits, inspections, assurance activities and contractor reviews.
• Develop and monitor leading and lagging HSSW indicators to drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance with legislation including CDM Regulations and promote best practice.
• Embed risk management processes, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis, with lessons embedded.
