Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Manager based in Teesside to oversee HSEQ across multiple UK engineering sites, driving robust management systems and a culture of continuous improvement.

You will coordinate audits, lead ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 45001:2018 compliance efforts, and support policy development to meet current legislation across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HSEQ management within construction or engineering sectors.
• Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory Health, Safety, Environment and Quality compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and ensure consistent application of HSEQ protocols.
• Excellent communication and leadership, with client-facing confidence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination and delivery of HSEQ requirements across several sites.
• Maintain and improve HSEQ management systems aligned with standards.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2015 quality standards compliance and drive improvements.
• Lead client meetings and promote transparent, collaborative communication.
• Monitor on-site HSEQ performance and support safe, efficient work.
• Provide guidance to project teams and subcontractors on safety and quality.
• Develop policies to align with current legislation.
• Act as focal point for HSEQ matters within the organisation.
