Job summary

NR L Recruitment has partnered with a leading structural engineering business to appoint an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Manager based in Teesside. The role oversees HSEQ across multiple sites in the UK, maintaining robust management systems and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

You will lead HSE management, ensure ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards are met, and support project teams with policy development and site audits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading HSEQ in construction/engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to manage several sites with consistent policy application.
• Excellent communication and leadership for client-facing interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination and delivery of HSEQ across multiple sites.
• Maintain and improve HSE management systems (ISO 45001) across projects.
• Ensure ISO 9001 quality standards and drive process improvements.
• Lead client-facing meetings and foster transparent communication.
• Monitor HSEQ performance on-site to support safe operations.
• Provide guidance to project teams and subcontractors on safety and quality.
• Develop policies to align with current legislation.
