Job summary

D7 Recruitment is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to own the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality function within a growing engineering and automation business in the United Kingdom. You will drive compliance, lead a culture change, and embed best practice across projects and operations.

You will manage ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, prepare RAMS, conduct audits, and work closely with senior leadership to continuously improve HSEQ performance.

Qualifications

• IOSH Membership required (Tech, Grad or Chartered).
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, automation or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO management systems.
• Experience producing and reviewing RAMS.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the HSEQ management systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead health and safety strategy and promote a positive safety culture across the business.
• Manage ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance, including audits.
• Prepare and review RAMS, permits to work and project H&S documentation.
• Support engineering and installation teams during project delivery with site inspections/audits.
• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and monitor HSEQ KPIs.
• Deliver H&S training, toolbox talks and coach managers on responsibilities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and act as lead HSEQ representative on client projects.
