Job summary

Impact Recruitment Services is seeking a Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager to lead HSEQ at a busy Leicester site. You will own the function, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across safety, environment and quality.

The role requires experience in a senior HSEQ position within a busy operational setting, knowledge of UK HSE regs and ISO management systems, and strong leadership and reporting skills. Some travel to another Leicester site may be needed.

Qualifications

• Senior HSEQ, Health & Safety, Environmental or Quality management experience.
• Experience in busy operational environments (waste, recycling, manufacturing, FMCG).
• NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health & Safety Practice or equivalent.
• IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience with ISO management systems, audits and compliance.
• Ability to lead, influence and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own HSEQ across the site, acting as primary contact for health, safety, environmental and quality matters.
• Monitor compliance with permits, procedures and legislation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide reports and recommendations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain ISO systems and documentation.
• Prepare for audits and support actions from audits.
• Lead HSEQ meetings and training programs.
• Collaborate with operations to promote a safe culture.
• Liaise with regulators, suppliers and stakeholders on HSEQ matters.
• Produce regular HSEQ reports for the Operational Management Team.
