Job summary

Tech Search Solutions is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join the HS2 project on site in Chipping Warden. You will lead H&S across a section of the major civil engineering scheme, working with project managers, site agents and operations teams to drive safety performance.

With a strong background in heavy civils and rail, you will conduct site inspections, risk assessments and investigations, ensuring CDM 2015 compliance and a proactive safety culture across the

Qualifications

• Experience in major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Background in heavy civils, earthworks, highways, structures or rail.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Chartered IOSH status preferred.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation.
• Confident communicator who can work with site teams at all levels.
• Hands-on, practical and able to challenge unsafe practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead health, safety and wellbeing across your section of the project.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Agents and operational teams.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Manage incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and company H&S procedures.
• Drive a positive safety culture across the workforce.
• Support occupational health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Manage and support the site H&S team.
