Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for permanent work supporting major rail infrastructure projects and HS2 work packages. The role leads health, safety and wellbeing across Anthro JV operations, ensuring legal compliance and strong governance toward safe delivery.

Ideal candidate will drive H&S strategies, deliver training, inspections and reporting, and collaborate with clients and principal contractors to uphold safety standards across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation in construction.
• Experience with CDM Regulations and ISO 45001.
• Understanding of rail and infrastructure industry standards.
• Experience with Network Rail, LU, National Highways and UK Power Networks standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead health, safety and wellbeing activity across Anthro JV operations.
• Provide expert advice, coaching and training on H,S and wellbeing.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits and system reviews.
• Review project documentation like RAMS and risk assessments.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts and inductions for projects.
