Job summary

Winsearch is seeking an experienced HSE Manager in Wigan to ensure government and legal compliance through policy enforcement and adherence to guidelines. The role focuses on leading safety culture, risk assessments (COSHH), and maintaining ISO 45001/14001 standards.

The position requires NEBOSH Level 3, IOSH Managing Safely, and a relevant degree. Salary up to £50,000 plus benefits; Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, on-site.

Qualifications

• Model and promote a culture that fosters safety through leadership.
• Completion and management of risk assessments including COSHH.
• Experience of COMAH site and emergency drills.
• Knowledge of 45001 & 14001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate 45001 & 14001 systems across site.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain legislation register and ensure site compliance.
• Organise HSE training programmes for site personnel.
• Develop environmental strategies and report to regulators.
