Job summary

Cast UK Ltd is recruiting an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental agenda onsite at its Cornwall operation. This senior role blends strategic leadership with hands-on responsibility to drive high safety standards, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work with site leadership and stakeholders to develop a strong safety culture, monitor HSE performance, and ensure consistent standards across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE management experience in a high-hazard setting.
• Experience across multiple sites is desirable.
• Professional HSE qualification (CMIOSH or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK/European HSE legislation.
• Experience with COMAH and DSEAR frameworks.
• Proven ability in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Experience leading audits and compliance programmes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic HSE objectives into site-level plans and KPIs.
• Drive continuous HSE improvement and safety culture.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with UK and EU HSE laws.
• Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses.
• Oversee risk assessments and safe systems at high-risk activities.
• Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate HSE activities across multiple sites.
• Manage HSE audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor HSE management and permits-to-work.
• Provide visible HSE leadership to senior leadership and stakeholders.
