Job summary

Cast UK Limited is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental agenda onsite at its Cornwall operation. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on accountability to maintain high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

You will work with site leadership and stakeholders to develop a robust safety culture, improve HSE performance and ensure consistent standards across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE management experience.
• Experience in high-hazard operational environments.
• Experience overseeing HSE across multiple sites is desirable.
• Professional HSE qualification (CMIOSH or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with COMAH and DSEAR.
• Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Audits, inspections and compliance programme experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate HSE objectives into site-level goals, plans and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with UK/European HSE legislation, regulations, policies and standards.
• Lead investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Oversee risk assessments, safe systems of work and controls for high-risk activities.
• Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives to improve performance.
• Coordinate HSE activity across multiple sites and ensure timely delivery of actions.
• Manage HSE audits, inspections, compliance reviews and corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor HSE management, permits-to-work and safety standards.
• Provide visible HSE leadership and report risks and trends to senior leadership.
