Job summary

Activate Group Limited is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to lead the Group’s safety management system across bodyshops, offices and sites. The role combines remote oversight with substantial site visits to ensure risk controls, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in safety culture.

You will manage COSHH, LEV, PPE, PUWER/LOLER, DSEAR and incident response, reporting to the Compliance, Risk & Sustainability team, and supporting managers across the business.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate (essential)
• NEBOSH National Diploma/Level 6 (desirable)
• CMIOSH or working towards (desirable)
• Experience in multi-site health & safety roles
• Experience with COSHH, LEV, RPE and health surveillance

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Group Health & Safety Policy and system
• Act as competent person under MHSW Regulations 1999
• Develop system in line with ISO 45001 and certification roadmap
• Oversee risk assessments and safe systems of work across sites
• Lead or support incident investigations and RIDDOR reporting
• Provide HSE reporting to Executive team and Board
• Drive health & safety training and culture initiatives
