Job summary

Specialist Mechanical Engineering Contractor in Slough is hiring a site‑based Health & Safety Advisor to support major mechanical installations. You will work with Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance across a large construction project in Berkshire.

Candidates need at least 3 years’ UK/Irish construction H&S experience, a valid UK work right, and a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or IOSH qualification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as H&S Advisor in construction.
• UK/Ireland construction experience required.
• Valid right to work in the UK.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or IOSH qualification.
• Experience inspecting sites, RAMS reviews and safety docs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments on the Slough project.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation, CDM Regulations and company safety procedures.
• Review RAMS before works commence.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions and safety briefings.
• Monitor subcontractor safety and safe systems of work.
• Investigate incidents and maintain safety records.
