Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd in Swindon is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to support major construction and infrastructure projects. You will drive HSE performance across office and site locations, providing guidance and assurance to project teams.

The role involves audits, incident investigations, training delivery and developing health and wellbeing initiatives, with regular travel to sites and a focus on continuous improvement and a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE roles within construction/infrastructure/engineering or high-risk industries.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Experience supporting operational and project delivery teams on HSE matters.
• Ability to analyse HSE performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Commercial awareness in project delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and continual improvement of HSE management systems.
• Monitor changes in legislation and best practice to keep systems compliant.
• Assist with the development and delivery of HSE training and awareness programmes.
• Promote and support behavioural safety initiatives across locations.
• Conduct inspections, audits and assurance activities to verify compliance.
• Provide practical advice and support to project teams on HSE matters.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and close calls and share lessons learned.
• Analyse HSE performance data and identify trends and corrective actions.
• Support occupational health and wellbeing initiatives across the business.
• Provide HSE input into bids, tenders and pre-qualification submissions.
• Support delivery of strategic HSE objectives and business improvements.
• Build relationships with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to promote safety culture.
