Job summary

O is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering major projects across London, Berkshire and Somerset. You will support project teams, ensure compliance, and uphold high safety standards on multiple sites.

You will work with a Safety Director with over 20 years' experience, traveling between sites in London, Berkshire and Somerset, and benefit from mentoring, an excellent salary package, car allowance and travel expense coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous Health & Safety experience within the construction industry.
• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident collaboration with site and senior management teams.
• Proactive, practical approach to Health & Safety and project exposure.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day Health & Safety advice and support to project teams.
• Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety systems.
• Identifying potential hazards and providing practical solutions.
• Working closely with site management to promote a positive safety culture.
• Supporting incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Assisting with Health & Safety reporting and documentation.
