Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing SHEQ team, supporting major construction and infrastructure projects across the region.

You will provide senior-level health and safety advice, support project teams and help drive a proactive safety culture, with occasional travel to regional sites. Experience in water/Utilities sector is desirable and NEBOSH Diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant H&S experience within construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proven knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Professional H&S membership and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert H&S advice to project and SHEQ teams.
• Support implementation of policies, procedures, risk controls and management systems.
• Lead and support audits, inspections and SHEQ assurance activities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Work with project teams to identify and manage risks.
• Monitor performance data and identify trends for improvements.
• Support compliance with UK H&S legislation, CDM and HSE guidance.
• Promote continuous improvement and safe working practices.
• Coach colleagues on safety best practices.
