Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a growing SHEQ team, supporting major construction and infrastructure projects across the region. You will provide senior-level health and safety advice and help drive a proactive safety culture on site.

Experience in the water sector is desirable and you must be willing to travel across regional project sites to support multiple sites and clients effectively.

Qualifications

• Significant H&S experience in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent occupational safety qualification.
• Construction-related H&S qualification.
• Appropriate professional H&S membership.
• Willingness to travel across regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert H&S advice to project and SHEQ teams.
• Support the implementation of policies, procedures, risk controls and management systems.
• Lead and support audits, inspections and SHEQ assurance activities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Work closely with project teams and clients to identify and manage risks.
• Monitor performance data, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Support compliance with UK H&S legislation, CDM and relevant HSE guidance.
• Promote continuous improvement and sustainable ways of working.
• Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues at all levels.
