Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing SHEQ team. You will support major construction and infrastructure projects across the region, providing senior-level H&S advice and helping to drive a proactive safety culture.

Desirable experience includes water, utilities or infrastructure sectors and ISO 45001 familiarity. The role requires travel between regional project sites and a strong commitment to coaching and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Significant H&S experience within the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Construction-related H&S qualification.
• Willingness to travel across regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert H&S advice to project and SHEQ teams.
• Support the implementation of policies, procedures, risk controls and management systems.
• Lead and support audits, inspections and SHEQ assurance activities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Work closely with project teams and clients to identify and manage risks.
• Monitor performance data, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Support compliance with UK H&S legislation, CDM and relevant HSE guidance.
• Promote continuous improvement and sustainable ways of working.
• Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues at all levels.
