Job summary

Cathedral Appointments is seeking a Senior HR Advisor in Exeter to provide expert guidance on employee relations and to support the development of HR strategy, policy and systems. The role involves mentoring the HR team, coaching managers, and managing a varied caseload of ER matters.

Qualifications

• Experience at HR Advisor level, ideally in a changing or fast-moving environment.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations case management and employment law.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to coach colleagues at all levels.
• Accurate, organised and methodical with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support the HR Advisor and wider HR team, deputising in the absence of senior HR staff.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations casework and employment law implications.
• Support restructures and change management initiatives across the business.
• Drive development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
• Develop HR systems, management reporting and data analysis.
• Lead varied HR projects supporting delivery of the HR strategy.
