Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Senior HR Advisor based in Lurgan to provide specialist HR support across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will manage employee-related matters, including compliance with HR legislation and developing training programs. This full-time, on-site role requires a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and CIPD Level 5 qualifications.

Job Title: Senior HR Advisor

VANRATH are delighted to be working with our client in the search for a HR Advisor to operate across NI/ROI. You willl support managers in their Lurgan, Monaghan and Dublin sites with specialist advice on legislative, procedural, and policy matters.

You will be responsible for:

• Assist with HR and cross-departmental projects as required.
• Collaborate on projects to improve organisational culture and employee engagement.
• Develop and deliver training sessions aligned with legal requirements and business needs.
• Implement and support performance management systems, including the creation of employee development plans.
• Maintain and update company policies, ensuring compliance with changing legislation and industry standards.
• Manage the full employee life cycle processes.
• Produce and present HR KPIs to senior leadership, offering recommendations based on the data.
• Provide expert advice on employment relations matters (e.g., investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions) across Ireland.
• Support the organisation through change initiatives such as TUPE, restructuring, and talent management.

About You

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or higher or a minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience.
• HR legislation / Employment Law understanding / knowledge for both the ROI and NI.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver a message to all levels.
• Proactive and pragmatic with balanced and sound judgement.
• Responsive problem solver and solution focused.
• Strong people skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and drive accountability amongst the Management Team and within the wider business.
• Proven experience in advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence, etc.)
• Full Driving licence and access to a form of transport to fulfil the role (mileage paid)
