Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited is recruiting a Senior HR Advisor to join a hands-on, on-site team in Bishop's Stortford. You will manage Employee Relations cases from inception to resolution and support senior leadership with ER strategy.

This role requires CIPD Level 5, extensive independent ER experience, a clean criminal record and an Enhanced DBS check. A driving licence and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 required as an absolute minimum.
• Extensive, demonstrable experience leading ER casework independently.
• Experience working independently at a Senior HR Advisor level with focus on employee relations.
• Clean Criminal Record: Must have no criminal convictions.
• Enhanced DBS check required; if not present, risk assessment during DBS processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level ER support, guidance and advice, managing ER cases from initiation to resolution (disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance capability).
• Support Head of Service and Director of People in ER strategy objectives.
• Produce and analyse ER data including sickness and formal case work.

Job description

Our client requires a highly capable, autonomous Senior HR Advisor to join an established team and organisation, in what will be hands‑on and rewarding role.

Due to the rural office location, having a valid driving license and your own transport is strictly required.

This is not a hybrid position and requires an experienced individual who thrives in a hands‑on role working on a daily basis with a supportive and productive team.

Duties

• Provide professional, senior high-level support, advice and guidance, managing Employee Relations (ER) cases from inception to resolution, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance capability
• Pro‑actively support the Head of Service and Director of People with the implementation and delivery of relevant ER people strategy objectives
• Produce and analyse key ER data including sickness and formal case work

Benefits

• £47,000 - £49000 per annum
• Salary potentially negotiable depending on experience
• 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays

Experience required
