Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an experienced HPC / Linux Infrastructure Engineer to support and optimise a growing high-performance computing environment. The role focuses on improving an existing Linux-based HPC cluster, documenting changes and transferring knowledge to the internal team.

The initial contract is around 3 months, with hands-on responsibility for assessment, implementation of improvements and leaving behind a robust, maintainable setup for ongoing use by the internal engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Building robust, supportable infrastructure.
• Working autonomously and taking ownership of infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve an existing Linux-based HPC cluster.
• Review current infrastructure and identify improvements.
• Implement changes to improve reliability, resilience and maintainability.
• Improve administration, monitoring and management of the environment.
• Introduce tooling and automation.
• Troubleshoot Linux and infrastructure issues.
• Produce clear technical and operational documentation.
• Knowledge transfer to the internal team.
