Job summary

Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of major highways, transport and infrastructure projects within the Major Projects Service. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will guide projects from concept and business case through design, procurement, construction and handover.

You will manage budgets, programmes and risk, coordinate consultants and contractors, and engage stakeholders in complex environments to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience delivering highways, transport, structures or civil engineering projects.
• Experience managing projects through development, design, procurement and construction stages.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Understanding of contract administration and project governance arrangements.
• Experience engaging stakeholders in complex and politically sensitive environments.
• Knowledge of budget, programme and risk management for capital infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice associated with highways and infrastructure delivery.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
