Essential Requirements Significant experience within a highways engineering environment. Strong knowledge of: Highways Development Control Highway Design Traffic and Transport Infrastructure Highways Legislation Planning Processes Experience responding to planning application consultations. Experience assessing highway modelling and infrastructure proposals. Strong understanding of highway design standards and construction requirements. Experience managing consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Strong project management and organisational abilities. Ability to provide authoritative technical advice on complex highways matters. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Desirable Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering, Highways Engineering, Transportation, or a related discipline. Chartered or working towards Chartered status with an appropriate professional body. Local Authority highways experience. Experience working on regeneration and major infrastructure projects.
