Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to lead delivery of temporary works and highways/drainage design across major infrastructure projects. You will mentor engineers, support bid activities and build strong client relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

Based in UK locations with flexible working: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, and more. 40 hours per week. Sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways and drainage engineering with demonstrable technical expertise.
• Lead and mentor design teams within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong track record in leading temporary works design/checking.
• Ability to manage multi-project workloads and meet technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking with a focus on highways and drainage solutions
• Providing tender and bid support including outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering
• Managing design projects from remit development through to delivery, ensuring technical compliance
• Leading and organising the workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team
• Building strong client relationships and representing Kier at project meetings
