Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to join our design team, delivering innovative highways and drainage solutions.

You will lead temporary works design, support bids, and drive technical excellence while mentoring engineers and building strong client relationships across major infrastructure projects. The role offers flexible working with locations across the UK, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester,

Qualifications

Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution with experience.
Experienced in highways and drainage engineering with technical expertise.
Confident in leading design projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Skilled in temporary works design, checking and providing technical solutions.
Able to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead temporary works design and checking for highways and drainage.
Provide tender and bid support including outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering.
Manage design projects from remit development through to delivery, ensuring technical compliance.
Lead and organise the workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team.
Build strong client relationships and represent Kier at project meetings.
