Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to lead and shape the delivery of highways and drainage design across multiple projects in the UK, including temporary works and buildable solutions.

The role focuses on safe, innovative and efficient designs with mentorship of the design team and collaboration across multidisciplinary groups. You will contribute to bid support, client relationship management, and technical excellence, working within Kier Design’s strong

Qualifications

Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE).
Experience in highways and drainage engineering with demonstrable technical expertise.
Able to lead design projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Skilled in temporary works design, checking and providing technical solutions.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead temporary works design and checking for highways and drainage solutions.
Provide tender and bid support including outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering.
Manage design projects from remit development through to delivery, ensuring technical compliance.
Lead and organise the workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team.
Build strong client relationships and represent Kier at project meetings.
