Job summary

Pave Recruit is seeking a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join the Highways and Infrastructure team and lead on delivery of highways design projects. You will manage multiple schemes including town centre redevelopments, cycle ways, civic squares, junction improvements and carriageway maintenance, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

You will work with engineers, technicians and project managers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs that comply with standards, using

Qualifications

Familiar with NEC form of contract and Document Control.
Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders to meet project expectations.
Ability to manage objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

Coordinating and cooperating with the Contractor throughout the design and build.
Design drainage systems, including culverts, storm water management, and erosion control measures.
Review and approve design drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements and standards.
Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools to create accurate and efficient designs.
Assisting the delivery team to ensure project work is technically correct
Managing projects in accordance with Client requirements
Helping to support junior team members to produce exceptionally high-quality outputs.
