Job summary

Metis, a civil and environmental engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to lead highways and transportation projects in the UK. Based in Manchester or Richmond-upon-Thames, you will manage client relationships, oversee delivery, and provide technical leadership.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, strong English communication, and the ability to guide junior engineers and coordinate multi-project pipelines.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in Highways and Transportation Projects.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Experience in supporting junior team members and developing outputs.
• Ability to integrate into a team and consult with clients and stakeholders.
