Kirklees Council in the Place directorate, Highways & Streetscene, is seeking a permanent Team Leader to manage minor traffic schemes and lead junior officers in a busy, frontline traffic environment.

Hybrid working is offered with a salary range of £29,540–£37,280 plus a Market Rate Supplement of £2,000, reflecting the role's responsibilities in improving parking and congestion across Kirklees. The team collaborates with local councillors and the public to make safe, effective highway movements.

Formación

• Experience managing a small team and guiding junior officers on traffic schemes.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
• Experience handling challenging customers with a strong customer focus.
• Ability to investigate and respond to requests from the public, local councillors and MPs and develop solutions to Highway Safety issues.
• Ability to operate effectively in a political environment.
• Some knowledge of processing Traffic Regulation Orders and when/where they are used.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with design and delivery of minor traffic schemes.
