RGB Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Principal Highway Engineer to lead highway design schemes from concept through to construction across diverse developments in South Wales and beyond. The role includes mentoring engineers, client liaison, and contributing to a robust project pipeline.

The successful candidate will design and deliver schemes using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, manage highway agreements, and ensure designs meet DMRB and local standards.

• Proven highway design experience in a consultancy.

Mansioni

• Lead the design and delivery of highway and infrastructure schemes from concept through to construction.
• Prepare highway designs for residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
• Design junction improvements, access roads, estate roads and highway infrastructure per local and national standards.
• Produce technical drawings and specifications to support planning applications and detailed design.
• Manage Section 278, Section 38 and other highway agreements through the approval process.
• Liaise with local highway authorities, clients and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and line management within the team.
• Support business development activities and contribute to winning new work.
