Job summary

Eriban Business Services Ltd seeks a Senior HGV Mechanic for a brand-new workshop in the Romsey area. Applicants should have at least 5 years of HGV-focused experience and a reliable, self-motivated approach.

You will service and repair HGVs, diagnose faults (electrical and mechanical), prepare vehicles for MOT, and uphold DVSA safety standards. The role may involve leading junior staff and requires initiative and accountability.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience gained within a similar role.
• Automotive/Mechanical focused qualifications (preferred but not essential).
• Class 1 Driving Licence
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Punctual
• Polite and customer facing
• Committed to getting the job done right, first time.

Senior HGV Mechanic

Established, local and trusted automotive mechanical specialist have an urgent requirement for an experienced HGV mechanic to join their rapidly expanding and supportive team based at their brand new purpose built workshop located in the Romsey suburbs.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working as an HGV focused mechanic.

The Role

My client are seeking a punctual, hard working and self motivated HGV focused Mechanic to join our their team in an important role as part of their continued growth.

This position reports directly to the Business Owner and involves working as the lead HGV focused specialist within the business. The business owner is hands-on and supportive but the successful individual will be expected to be able to run things by themselves when he is not present, be able to use initiative, pick up things and run with them and take full responsibility and be accountable for the workshops performance. This individual will need to take great pride in their work, work to a very high standard and inspire less experienced staff.

The position is of a permanent full time nature but my client are very happy to consider professionals who may be looking for slightly reduced hours or flexibility around start and finish times.
