NHS Orkney is seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) for The Balfour in Kirkwall. This full-time, permanent post (36 hours per week) supports patient care under a Registered Nurse and covers clinical and administrative duties to maintain a high standard of care.

Applicants should have health or social care experience and hold SVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with a commitment to mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care role; SVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Willing to undertake required training for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative duties and documentation.
• Support patient pathways including admissions onto TrakCare and ordering treatments.
• Manage calls and maintain accurate records.
