Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Staff Implementation Engineer to execute technical planning, architecture, and implementation of on-premise Vocera communications solutions within UK customer environments.

The role involves coordinating with clinical leads, integrating with external systems, transferring knowledge to customer staff, and communicating project status to stakeholders. The position requires a full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the country.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical services or support role including Windows Server and Linux.
• Basic understanding of wireless networking and ability to troubleshoot networking topics with customers/teams.
• Experience with tools like Ekahau, Wireshark, tcpdump, netcat for networking issues.
• Exposure to VMware vCenter in large production environments; infrastructure supporting modern virtualised data centres.

Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, install, configure, test, and validate Vocera solutions and end-to-end system testing.
• Integrate Vocera with external systems (phone, nurse call, EHR, messaging middleware).
• Transfer knowledge to customer staff to enable maintenance of Vocera solutions.
• Train customer system administrator and help desk staff.
• Troubleshoot customer environments and optimise Vocera performance.
• Collaborate with clinical leads to design databases meeting clinical/technical requirements.
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and report project status clearly.
