Severn Trent is seeking a Health and Safety Technical Expert to shape and sustain a strong safety culture across our Coventry operations, including water and waste treatment, network maintenance, and construction projects. The role requires deep knowledge of UK H&S legislation and risk management, with stand-by rotas and a 37-hour week from our Coventry Head Office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in health and safety across utilities, construction or other high-risk industries.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management.
• NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH membership desirable; UK driving licence essential.

Responsabilités

• Act as SME for health and safety compliance and technical standards.
• Develop and implement robust HSW strategies, policies and procedures.
• Provide expert advice on risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Support operational teams with technical safety guidance on complex challenges.
• Participate in audits and assurance activities to monitor compliance and drive improvement.
• Engage stakeholders to maintain high safety standards and influence best practice.
• Deliver training and coaching to enhance safety competence across the business.
