Based from Coventry Head Office, Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Health & Safety Technical Expert to provide specialist advice, guidance and assurance on health, safety and wellbeing across our operations including water and waste treatment, network maintenance and construction projects.

Salary (£): £49,781 plus monthly car allowance
As a Health and Safety Technical Expert, you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining our safety culture. You will provide specialist advice, guidance, and assurance on health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW) across diverse operational environments, including water treatment, waste treatment, network maintenance, and construction projects amongst others.
This is a highly technical position requiring deep knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, risk management, and best practice within high-risk industries.
Based from our Coventry Head Office, you'll work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. From time to time, you'll also be required to take part in a standby rota to support requirements.
You'll bring significant health and safety experience from the utilities, construction, or another high-risk industry, alongside a strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements. Ideally you'll hold a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and be a member of IOSH, although we're equally interested in individuals with extensive practical experience and a genuine passion for health and safety. A full UK driving licence is also essential.

You'll have excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess priorities and take a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
