Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Group Internal Audit Senior Manager to lead risk-based audits and develop the internal audit plan for its business units in the UK. You will manage audit teams, including third parties, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders up to ExCo level.

• Significant experience leading risk-based audits in a regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior leaders.
• Proven leadership, coaching and development of audit professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the risk-based internal audit plan for your unit and ensure alignment with Group objectives.
• Direct delivery of a portfolio of audits across BT Group, coordinating with Audit Managers and third parties.
• Provide high-quality assurance to ExCo-level stakeholders on key risks and controls.
• Offer real-time support and insights during new process implementations and business changes.
• Act as single point of contact for GIA, building strong governance relationships.
• Represent Audit in Unit Audit and Risk Committees and governance fora.
• Lead internal audit improvement initiatives with the broader team.
• Meet External Audit regularly to drive efficiency and share plans.
• Coach and develop Audit Managers, providing timely feedback.
