Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Hydrogeologist (Consultant or Senior) to join the Groundwater & Geothermal Team. You’ll work on groundwater resources, dewatering, contaminant hydrogeology and geothermal development across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities for international assignments.

The role combines office-based technical work with site activities, offering hybrid and flexible working, travel across Great Britain and Ireland, and a supportive consultancy environment to develop leadership

Qualifications

• You’ll have a good honours degree in geology, earth science, engineering geology, environmental science or a related discipline.
• Practical fieldwork and investigation experience with strong data analysis and report writing skills.
• Developing understanding of UK and/or Irish groundwater regulation and licensing.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and supervise groundwater and geothermal investigations and related desk studies.
• Coordinate field activities, monitor data quality and prepare reports and drawings.
• Contribute to budgets, programmes and fee proposals; support tender activities.
• Act as day-to-day client contact and mentor junior colleagues where appropriate.
