Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe invites applications from Hydrogeologists to join our Groundwater & Geothermal Team in a Consultant or Senior role. You will work on groundwater and water-resources projects, supporting sustainable water resources management and regulatory compliance across the UK and Ireland.

As a Senior, you will lead work packages, liaise with clients directly, and mentor junior staff while delivering field investigations, data analysis, and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Good honours degree in hydrogeology or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology or water resources is advantageous.
• Experience in water resources assessment and hydrogeology consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assessments, options appraisals, and regulatory inputs for water resource planning frameworks.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise fieldwork including borehole investigations and pumping tests.
• Analyse hydrological, hydrogeological, meteorological and water-quality data to evaluate resource availability.
• Support environmental impact assessments, WFD compliance, and abstraction policies.
• Draft high-quality technical reports and regulatory submissions for clients and regulators.
• Manage project tasks, budgets and subcontractors; senior staff may lead defined work packages.
