Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Site Manager to lead ground-mounted solar PV projects across the UK on a minimum 12-month contract. You will manage subcontractors, supervise daily site activities and ensure HSQE and CDM compliance.

This role requires 3–5 years’ site supervision experience, strong leadership and ability to read technical drawings. You will deliver toolbox talks, monitor quality, and report progress to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' site supervision/management experience.
• Ground-mounted solar farm experience - essential
• Experience on large-scale solar PV or renewable energy projects
• Strong subcontractor management experience
• Good understanding of HSQE and UK construction regulations
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractors and daily site activities
• Oversee ground-mounted solar PV installation works
• Ensure HSQE and CDM requirements are met
• Deliver toolbox talks and monitor site safety
• Report daily and weekly progress to the Project Manager
• Identify and report risks, delays and issues
• Monitor workmanship and installation quality
• Support snagging, quality checks and project completion
• Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors and suppliers
